Requirement: Need to
migrate Oracle discoverer reports from one instance to another instance.
Migration of business area is the first step. Refer the
below steps to migrate Business area from one instance to another.
Step 1:
Login to Oracle Discoverer Administrator.
Refer below list for post installation setups.
Step 2:
Go to File>>Export>>
Export wizard will be appeared
Step 3:
Mark ‘Selected business area’ from the Wizard
and Click on Next 
Step 4:
Select the Business Area you need to migrate and click on
next .
Step 5 :
Provide the file name and location to save the
file and click on Finish
You can save the export log . Which provides the details of
folders & Item class names which are exported with the business Area.
Now the Exported business Area is ready to import to
destination with extension *.eex
Step 6:
Login to Discoverer administrator of your destination
instance .
Go to File>>Import
Select the *.eex file from the location you have saved by
pressing on Add file button from the Wizard.
Click on next
Step 7:
Keep the default selections as it is and click on Next
Step 8 :
Click on Start button
Once the import is completed click on finish.
