Post Installation Setups for Oracle Discoverer

After installation of Oracle Business Intelligence Tools for Oracle Discoverer follow the below setups to login to Oracle Discoverer Administrator or Oracle Discoverer Desktop. 

Step 1:

Go to Start Menu>>Right click on Oracle Discoverer Administrator >>Click on Properties

Find the Oracle home path

Step 2:

Go to oracle home folder >>Network>>ADMIN

Copy the TNS info to the tnsnames file 

 

Step 3: 

Find the folder ‘Secure’   from oracle home folder. If not present create a folder with the name ‘Secure’ and place the *.dbc file into that folder. 

Sep 4:

Set the system Environment variables as below 

FND_SECURE

D:\oracle\BIToolsHome_1\secure (Your Oracle Home Path)

 

FND_TOP

D:\oracle\BIToolsHome_1(Your Oracle Home Path)

 

 

TNS_ADMIN

D:\oracle\BIToolsHome_1\network\ADMIN(Your Oracle Home Path)

Step 5:

Click on Oracle Discoverer Administrator , login window will be opened

 

Step 6:

If oracle Applications user check box is not showing then follow the below step

Go to Tools>>Options and select connect to both standard and applications EULs
